Mayhem: Kings Cross 1945 Tattoo Drawing Workshop

Inspired by events in and around Kings Cross, Elizabeth Bay House travels back to 1945, hosting a party to celebrate the end of the Second World War and to farewell American GIs stationed in Sydney.

No matter what sort of hoofer you are, come along and learn the jitterbug with James Star from Sydney Swing Katz, marvel at our 1940s catwalk featuring the latest fashions, and even participate in our best dressed competition!

Immerse yourself in the history of Elizabeth Bay House as you listen to the retelling of first-hand experiences during the midget sub attacks on the bay, as viewed from the upstairs morning room. Make yourself your very own garrison cap in a workshop run by Sew Make Create, or learn how to draw 1940s navy tattoos with expert Jimmy Memento.
